Below is a snapshot of the roles that help keep FEA running smoothly and help us grow to reach & support more families across Australia.
Course Moderators, Facilitators & Presenters
Help run our family programs - Eg, First Steps, First Letters, Pre-Adolescence etc. No background in family services required, we provide full training, materials, and ongoing support. You bring the presentation skills and warmth, we provide the program expertise.
Marketing & Design
Help more families find us. We're looking for people who can create social content, design flyers and graphics, write newsletters, or support our website. Whether you can offer a few hours a month or take on a single project, your work directly grows our reach and the number of families we can support.
Admin & Operations
Keep things running behind the scenes - event logistics, scheduling, database and CRM support, or general coordination. This is a great fit if you're highly organised and want to make a tangible difference without being front-of-house. Flexible hours, remote-friendly, and a genuinely appreciated role in a small team.
Governance & Board
Bring your financial, legal, HR, or strategic experience to our board or a sub-committee. We're looking for people ready to help shape the direction of a growing organisation. This is a deeper leadership commitment, suited to those with governance or relevant professional experience who want real input into FEA's future.
Fundraising
Help us diversify and grow our income — through grant writing, corporate partnerships, event fundraising, or major donor relationships. If you've got experience in nonprofit fundraising, sales, or relationship-building, this is one of the highest-impact ways to volunteer, directly expanding what FEA can deliver for families.
Prefer to join us on a
casual basis?
That's great! We often need hands on the day for events, courses and programs - no ongoing commitment required.
Think catering and setup, greeting families as they arrive, packing down at the end, or supporting simply supporting our events team to help things run seamlessly.
